Frequently asked

I bought something and didn't receive it.

First, fully close and reopen the game, since most purchases restore automatically. If it still hasn't arrived, email us with your store receipt and we'll sort it out. Because purchases are processed by the app store rather than by us, refunds must be requested through that store, but we're happy to deliver anything you paid for. Our Refunds page has the steps.

How do I restore my purchases on a new device?

In a game that has a shop, open it and use Restore Purchases, making sure you're signed in to the same store account you bought them with. Not every one of our games has a shop. Your progress travels separately, as described below.

Will I lose my progress?

Your progress is saved on your device and synced to the cloud against an anonymous player ID the game creates for you on first launch. To carry it to a new phone, link your Google Play Games account in the game before you switch, then sign in with the same one on the new device and your empire comes with you. Without that link, the save is tied to an ID that lives only on the old install. If something has gone wrong, email us and we'll do our best to help recover it.

Are there ads?

No game we have released contains advertising software of any kind. If we release a game supported by advertising, its store listing and its page on this website will say so before it launches, and we will not add advertising to a game that shipped without it.

Do the games need an internet connection?

Our games are built to be enjoyed on the go, with generous offline progress, so you can play through most of a session without a connection. Some online features, such as cloud save syncing and leaderboards, need a connection in order to update.

How do I delete my data?

Where a game includes the option, you can do it yourself from its Settings screen. Confirming it deletes your cloud save record, the anonymous player account itself, and the save file on your device, and the game tells you which of those steps succeeded.

We are rolling that screen out across the catalogue, so not every game has it yet. Until a game does, email [email protected] and we'll do it for you. Either route reaches the same result. Our Privacy Policy sets out your rights in full, including the one thing deletion cannot reach: a score already sitting on a leaderboard, which we remove by hand on request.

I'd like to cover your game / partner with you.
